If I run or walk in the Run As One, do I have to fundraise?

NO. You may choose to either register and pay the $25 registration fee or cover your registration fee by fundraising to support lung cancer research (get pledges from friends, family, etc.). You may also choose to create a team of fundraisers to walk or run together. Teams must raise enough funds to cover the $25 for each team member. Individual fundraisers and Team Captains will be responsible for providing a list of all applicable names including dates of birth to TGL Foundation no later than April 12th by 2 pm, EST.

I'm planning to participate in the Run or Walk events, but would like to include my child. Do I have to register him/her as well?

It depends. It is not necessary to register children under the age of 12. However, only registered participants will receive a Run/Walk t-shirt and race bib.

If I choose to register, do I have to register online?

NO. You can mail your form (to The Labrecque Foundation, 1414 Prince Street, Ste. 400, Alexandria, VA 22314) or fax it to 703-997-8907.  Click here (link coming soon) to download the printable registration form to mail or fax with your check or credit card number. Fax and online registration close at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 19 at 5:00 pm. Mailed forms must be postmarked no later than April 15 to ensure we receive it in time.

Can I register in person or the morning of the event?

YES, but by doing so your race entry fee will NOT go directly towards funding lung cancer research. You may register at the NY Road Runners (322 Columbus Avenue between West 75th and West 76th streets) on:

  • Thursday, April 21, 1:00 - 7:00 pm
  • Friday, April 22, 1:00 - 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, April 23, 11:30 am - 4:00 pm

On race day, Sunday, April 24, check-in/registration will be from 7:00 to 8:00 am at the registration tent by the Central Park Bandshell.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title="When and where do I pick up my race bib and t-shirt? " open="false" style="default"]You may do so the morning of the event, Sunday April 27, between 7:00 to 8:00 am at the registration tent by the Central Park Bandshell. Alternatively, you may pick them up in advance at NY Road Runners (322 Columbus Avenue (between West 75th and West 76th streets) on:

  • Monday, April 18, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 19, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 20, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 21, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, April 22, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 23, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Are donations tax-deductible?

YES, all donations are tax-deductible. The TGL Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit corporation with federal tax I.D. # 57-1151066. Race entry fees however are not tax deductible.
