How do I receive guaranteed entry to the 2017 NYC Half?

Be one of the first 5 runners who commits to raising $1000 or more on behalf of Team Labrecque. We will provide guaranteed entry in return for your commitment and support.


How do I register to become a member of Team Run As One?

To become a member of our team, just fill out the registration form and mail to The Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation, 1414 Prince Street, Ste. 400, Alexandria, VA 22314. You may also fax your form to 703-997-8907, or scan and email to mturner@tglfoundation.com. After you have signed up and committed to raise $1000 or more, we will email you with the next steps to complete the registration process.


How do I create my personal fundraising page to collect donations?

Once you have have been accepted as a member of Team Run As One, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for setting up your personal fundraising page that will allow friends and family to contribute online. You will be able to personalize your page by inclduing a personal message, uploading a picture, setting you own fundraising goal and formatting your page layout and design.


What happens if I don't reach the fundraising minimum by the deadline?

You must donate or raise 1/2 of the $1000 or more before February 22, 2017 to remain eligible for a guaranteed bib. The second 1/2 of the $1000 is due by March 14, 2017.  If you do not raise the minimum by either date, you become personally responsible for the remaining balance and your credit card will be charged.


If I drop out of the race, am I still responsible for raising $1000?

If you need to drop out of the race for any reason, you will be responsible for raising at least half of the $1000 commitment ($500). Any amount raised prior to your withdrawal from the race will carry over and count towards next year's fundraising minimum (for the 2018 NYC Half) if you choose to participate.


Are donations tax-deductible?

YES, all donations are tax-deductible. The Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. Race entry fees however are not tax deductible.


How do I get my friends and family to donate?

We recommend you start by sending an email to all of your friends and family. Provide the link to your personal fundraising page you created so they can donate directly towards your cause. If someone prefers to write a check, make sure the check is written out to "The Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation" and contains your name in the memo field so we know who we should attribute the donation to. Mail any checks you receive in batches to us at 1414 Prince Street, Ste. 400, Alexandria, VA 22314. We will add all check donations to your personal fundraising website so that all your donors are recognized and counted towards your fundraising goal.
